Hands-free Laser Firing

When working with micromanipulators, the XYClone allows you to work in "hands-free" mode by using the optional foot switch to fire the laser. Simply use the manipulators to position the embryo to the target and press the foot switch to fire the laser.
Your micromanipulation proceeds rapidly and the time the embryo spends on the microscope stage is minimized. Also, the laser may be fired as many times as required to complete the process, without need of reactivating the laser.

Easy and Fast Zona and Oolemma Ablation

Using Manipulators to Position Cell

The first movie loop shows how the XYClone can be operated hands-free while using manipulators to position the ova to drill a hole in the zona to insert an ICSI pipette.
Using Stage Controls to Position Cell

Even when using the stage adjusters to position the embryo for drilling, the process proceeds rapidly. In under 4 seconds, a hole large enough for embryo biospy can be drilled in the zona.

Frees Your Microscope Ports - Does Not Interfere with Fluorescence

The extremely compact laser unit (just 42mm x 28mm x 54mm) installs directly on turret, leaving both the fluorescence and filter cube ports free for normal use (no removal of components required), and no interference with normal microscope usage.

The exact same laser configuration installs on ALL brand/model of inverted microscope, including older models. The XYClone (and ZILOS-tk) are ONLY complete laser systems available that can be switched from any brand/model of microscope to any other brand/model of microscope, without need for customization, laser realignment, and possibly even added cost. This means that if you buy any different brand/model microscope in the future, the XYClone can still be used with no changes needed!
